This Saturday (10/19) local artist and author Bob McCormick will be joining us at the library to discuss his most recent publication. Starting at 10 AM, you’ll have the chance to meet Mr. McCormick and learn about his book “Reclamation: From Coal Dust to Hope” which depicts life in our region from the 19th century through today!

Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library is once again offering a great opportunity to area families with the Lewisburg Children’s Museum Cultural Pass Program!
This family day pass waives all admission fees for up to 4 guests at a time and children 2 and under are always free. Passes are valid for general admission only and do not cover special events/programs, classes, or workshops hosted at the museum. The pass can be checked out for 1 week and then is to be promptly returned to the library just like you’d check out and later return a book.
Please be sure to return the pass in a timely manner so that as many families as possible can take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to explore, learn, and grow! ⚙️🔭🌎

Just a reminder that tomorrow (10/15) at 6 PM Bloomsburg Children’s Museum will be making their monthly visit to our library. This time around, we’ll be learning all about the human body and how everything works together! To sign up for this free event, either stop by the library or give us a call at 570-648-3202.

This morning we read “Pete the Cat: Trick or Pete” at Preschool Storytime & Movement since Halloween is only a few short weeks away. Following the story and song time, we decorated cute little pumpkins using a creative combination of colorful jewels, googly eyes, and pom poms! 🎃🎃🎃

Join us tomorrow (10/14) at 10 AM for Preschool Storytime & Movement where we’ll be checking in with Pete the Cat and then decorating some cute little pumpkins! 🐱🎃

We hope everyone had a lovely time at our kid’s craft this morning! With Halloween right around the corner, the craft this month was a festive popsicle stick project that produced many spooky characters including pumpkins, scarecrows, and lots of bats just to name a few.
As always, thank you to our partners at the Northumberland County Council For the Arts and Humanities for teaming up with us to provide creative programming opportunities like this for the community! ![]()
