Preschool Storytime & Movement Monday Mornings Continue!

Monday morning at the library we read “One Lonely Sea Horse” during Preschool Storytime & Movement. After listening to the story and singing our regular songs, everyone got to make a jolly jellyfish featuring pipe cleaner tentacles to take home. Later during snack time we enjoyed some special doughnuts that were generously provided to help celebrate a little lady’s first birthday! 🎉🍩🎊

Though some faces may have changed in recent weeks, Preschool Storytime & Movement will still be held every Monday morning at 10 AM!

Upcoming Halloween Kid’s Craft (10/12/24)

Join us at the library next Saturday (10/12) at 10 AM for a Halloween popsicle stick kid’s craft! Be it a cackling pumpkin, mysterious mummy, friendly monster, or grinning scarecrow, it’ll be up to you to decide what direction to take this spooky craft. 🎃👻😈

Space is limited and sign-up is required, so be sure to claim a spot as soon as you can by either stopping by the library or reaching out over the phone!

Local Input Needed

Even if you weren’t able to attend yesterday evening’s public meeting for Shamokin residents (“Safe Streets for All Plan”) hosted at the library, your input is still needed and valued by those developing plans for what our area may look like in the future.

If you feel strongly about what could make a particular street or public area safer, stop by the library and leave your thoughts and suggestions!

Bee Themed Adult Craft

We hope everyone enjoyed the bee themed adult craft yesterday evening at the library. As always, thank you to our partners at the Northumberland County Council For the Arts and Humanities for helping us provide creative programs like this for the community!

We’ll Miss You Mrs. Sickora!

Yesterday morning at Preschool Storytime & Movement we celebrated our very own Mrs. Sickora as she will soon be moving out of the area. Over the last 7 years, Joyce has been a tireless volunteer at Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library and her love of caring for children has been a blessing beyond words for the library and our community.

We will miss getting to see our beloved Mrs. Sickora on Monday mornings and at other children’s programs, but will forever cherish all the fun times, excitement, confidence, and nourishment she’s given countless children across the area and beyond for so many years. 🥰❤️⭐️💖
