We hope everyone had a great time at Book Bingo this evening. All are welcome to join us next month on Tuesday, October 1 and/or Thursday, October 17 at 6 PM for bingo, books, and a delightful evening that family and friends can all come and enjoy together at the library!

Just a reminder there’s a scarecrow kid’s craft coming up at the library this Saturday (9/21) at 10 AM. Using simple materials in a novel way, you’ll be all set for the fall season with your own customized googly-eyed friend!

Space is limited and sign-up is required, so be sure to claim a spot as soon as you can by either stopping by the library or reaching out over the phone!

Cookbook Book Club will be meeting at the library this coming Monday (9/23) at 6 PM and will be all about pumpkin based delights! Everyone is encouraged to bring a prepared dish from their own recipe collection or one selected from our many local cookbooks. Some of our regular Mahjong players yesterday afternoon at the library. Mahjong for Beginners is held every Wednesday from 1-3 PM at the library and is a great opportunity for adults to try out something new!

Just a reminder that Book Bingo will be held tomorrow evening (9/19) at 6 PM upstairs at the library. Even if you don’t win any rounds, you’ll still be able to pick out a book or movie to take home!

Yesterday evening Bloomsburg Children’s Museum visited the library for our monthly STEM adventure! We learned about what radio waves are, the basics of how they work, and even got to build small FM radio sets to take home.

The Halloween Costume Giveaway hosted at the library this past Saturday saw over 100 costumes distributed over the course of just two hours. With a wide variety of new or lightly used costumes available in all different sizes to choose from, there was truly something for everyone!

A huge thank you goes out to organizers Lauren Zimmerman, Maria James, Lindsay Thomas, and Heather Krebs for putting together the initial costume collection event that took place last November and for volunteering their time and effort to ensure the recent giveaway was also a huge success. Hopefully this community minded event helped out as many families as possible and will continue for years to come!

Yesterday morning at Preschool Storytime & Movement we read “When You Have to Wait” since waiting and being patient are very important skills. After enjoying the book and our regular songs, everyone got to color a little bit before enjoying a snack like always!

Join us at the library for Preschool Storytime & Movement tomorrow (9/16) at 10 AM. Our story tomorrow morning will be “When You Have to Wait” since learning to wait is one of life’s earliest and most important lessons. Following song time, everyone will get to fill in the blank and draw something they had to wait for or are still waiting for!

Just a reminder that this Tuesday (9/17) at 6 PM Bloomsburg Children’s Museum will be making their monthly visit to our library.
