Summer Reading Week 1 is already in the books! To kickoff the adventure this year we welcomed back instructor KymBre Shingara to lead us in Kid’s Adventure Yoga, got our reading logs and goody bags, and wrapped up the morning with a tasty cupcake treat.

Between now and next Wednesday morning’s Reptiland program, be sure to complete your reading log by reading 20 minutes a day for at least 5 days in order to receive either a free book or an item from the prize box. If you’re not quite reading on your own yet, reading with a parent/guardian or being read to also counts!

Each week you complete the log and bring it back to us, you’ll have the chance to enter your name into our grand prize drawing that will take place during our final Summer Reading session in August. We hope to see everyone next week (7/17) for Reptiland!

The theme for Summer Reading 2024 is “Adventure Begins at Your Library” with our first of many adventures kicking off tomorrow (7/10) at 9:30 AM. Opening day will feature Kid’s Adventure Yoga with instructor KymBre Shingara to get our summer program series started off on a thoughtful and reflective note!

This morning at Preschool Storytime & Movement we read “Sleepy Sheepy” which was about how hard it can be sometimes to get to sleep. Following song time, everyone got to color a sleepy sheepy of their own to take home!

**IMPORTANT MESSAGE** The “Lemonade With Your Legislators” event that was scheduled for this afternoon at 2 PM has been cancelled. The event will be rescheduled and a new date/time will be posted here!

Don’t forget that Mahjong for Beginners is held every Wednesday afternoon at the library from 1-3 PM. Be sure to stay up to date with all the exciting things happening at your local library throughout the summer and beyond with one of our handy calendars!

Some of our pinochle players in action yesterday afternoon. Pinochle Club is held every Monday from 1-3 PM at the library and is a great opportunity for adults to learn something new while out and about in the community!
