Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library will be closed this Saturday (5/25) but we encourage everyone to come and visit our booth at the Anthracite Heritage Festival anytime from 10 AM-5 PM on Market Street in Shamokin. Children will have the chance to make a puppet, put on a show, and then keep their puppet as a souvenir all courtesy of the library!
Yesterday evening at the library everyone got to build derby cars and then make alterations after each race in order to increase the speed! Through the lesson and the project, we learned about weight distribution and got to test out different approaches in real time and evaluate the results.

This morning at Preschool Storytime & Movement we read “Miss Spider’s ABC” to brush up on the letters of the alphabet, sang our songs, and later got to assemble a whole web of colorful bug friends just like the ones featured in the story.
Preschool Storytime & Movement will NOT be held next week as the library will be closed Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day!
