We got a good glimpse of the solar eclipse at the library even with all the clouds!

From all of us to all of you, happy National Library Week!

The theme for National Library Week 2024 is “Ready, Set, Library!” and this truly hits home just how important the role played by libraries still remains even in our increasingly fast paced world and lives.

Feel free to join us for a library Open House tomorrow anytime from 4:00-6:30 PM to celebrate Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library and libraries everywhere!

Just a reminder that Bloomsburg Children’s Museum will be visiting us tomorrow (4/9) at 6 PM for the first of two STEM programs scheduled for this month. Tomorrow evening we’ll be learning all about the phases of the moon, crater formation, and then concocting some glow in the dark puffy paint to wrap up the lesson!

We were back in action at Preschool Storytime & Movement this morning! Today’s story was “Freight Train” so right after singing our songs it was time to make some trains of our own with lots of different colors and train cars to choose from.

Preschool Storytime & Movement is held every Monday morning at 10 AM upstairs at the library!

Join us at the library next Saturday, April 13 at 10 AM for an “Earth Day Beehive” children’s craft! Working with recycled materials, we’ll be constructing mason bee homes and then of course decorating them as well. Space is limited and sign-up is required, so be sure to claim a spot as soon as you can by either stopping by or reaching out over the phone or through email!
