Don’t forget that tomorrow (2/27) from 5-7 PM we’ll have all of our activity sets up and running at family STEM night. Magna-Tiles, marble runs, and several other exciting additions to our growing collection of educational and entertaining activities will be waiting for you at the library!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Healing Chair Yoga will not be held this afternoon. However, we do hope to see everyone next week!

Just a reminder that tomorrow (2/26) at 6 PM the Cookbook Book Club will be meeting back up again at the library! This month’s theme is desserts and everyone is encouraged to bring a prepared dish from their own recipe collection or one selected from one of our local cookbooks.

Healing Chair Yoga sessions with instructor KymBre Shingara are set to continue at the library with dates available through March and new dates coming soon! Classes are held on Monday afternoons from 4:15-5:15 PM at a cost of $10 per class. All adults and abilities welcome!

We visited our library, checked out some books, and have the stickers to prove it!

We had a very enthusiastic group of builders yesterday evening at LEGO Club. Catch us again for more Thursday evenings of creativity and fun next month on March 14 and 28 anytime from 5-6:30 PM upstairs at the library!

Yesterday evening at the library we got to learn about how microwaves work, how certain ingredients react when cooked, and eventually ended up with some cupcakes to snack on afterward as a product of the lesson. Keep an eye out for what our next visit from Bloomsburg Children’s Museum will be about, including a double booking in April to make up for the January event that got snowed out!

While Valentine’s Day has come and gone, you can still come down to the library and pick out a “Blind Date with a Book” selection from our front display area! Each book has a hint concerning what it’s about written on the outside, so it’s up to you to decide which one sparks your interest based on the clue.

Once you’ve read the book, be sure to fill out the “Rate Your Date” bookmark inside and return it for a chance to win a special prize at the end of the month!

Join us this afternoon for Mahjong! Our newest program for adults is held at the library every Wednesday from 1-3 PM. If you’d like to learn the American version of this game, sign up is a must so please visit us at the library, give us a call, or send an email to shamokincoallibrary@gmail.com.
