Yesterday morning at Preschool Storytime & Movement we read (and later sang) “Frosty the Snowman” to commemorate our recent first sizeable snowfall of the season. After singing our songs and helping our own snowmen come to life during a craft, it was time to finally sit back, relax, and have some snack!
Looking to research your family history? Shamokin-Coal Township Public library is just the place to go! Our library offers free public access to the Ancestry Library Edition’s online database. This means that thousands of records including births/deaths, marriages, census data, and so much more can be easily retrieved with just a few simple steps!
Join us at the library one week from today (1/13) at 10 AM for the first children’s craft of 2024! This month we’ll be painting snowflakes on canvas which will give everyone the opportunity to fashion their own unique creation.

Free passes for the whole family to Bloomsburg Children’s Museum are available at the library!
Passes are valid for general admission only and do not cover special events/programs, classes, or workshops hosted at the museum. These passes can be checked out for 1 week and then are to be promptly returned to the library just like you’d check out and return a book. Please be sure to return the passes in a timely manner so that as many families as possible can take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to play, learn, and discover together!

Healing Chair Yoga with instructor KymBre Shingara will be returning to the library for winter sessions! Classes will once again be held on Monday afternoons from 4:15-5:15 PM at a cost of $10 per class or $90 for all eleven sessions that will run from January through March. All adults and abilities welcome!
We had a nice big group tonight for the first Book Bingo of 2024. Catch us again for more bingo and books later this month on Thursday, January 18 at 6 PM upstairs at the library!
