Bundle up and come on down to the library tomorrow (12/28) anytime from 5-7 PM for LEGO Club. As the library provides lots of LEGOs for everyone to build and create with, all you need to bring with you is your imagination!
Keep up to date with everything happening at your local library this January and all throughout 2024! Printed calendars are readily available each month at the front desk along with handouts that include additional information about upcoming programs and events.
Congratulations to Lisa Wood as the grand prize winner of the Harry Potter “Hunt for the Horcruxes” raffle! Along with the chocolate Golden Snitch that everyone received upon completing the scavenger hunt challenge, Lisa is the lucky winner of a complete set of Harry Potter books.
We would like to again extend a huge thank you to Lisa Eccker for donating her time and talents and for doing such a wonderful job decorating the marvelous Harry Potter themed Christmas tree for our library that so many people have enjoyed throughout the season!
Need something to do and/or somewhere to go over the upcoming holiday break? Join us at the library next week for our new STEM program “Exploration Station” on the day after Christmas!
This coming Tuesday (12/26) from 3-5 PM we’ll have all of our activity sets up and running including Magna-Tiles, marble runs, and quite a few brand new options available for the very first time as a special holiday treat!
Be sure to stop by the library before 5 PM today to load up your sleigh with all your favorite festive books and movies for over the long holiday weekend! We will be closed tomorrow (12/23) through Christmas Day with regular hours resuming on Tuesday (12/26).

Yesterday evening at the library we were busy making magnetic slime using a recipe of familiar ingredients that you don’t often see mixed together! After placing our ingredients together in a sealed bag and fashioning ourselves little magnetic tipped wands, it was time to test the magnetic properties of our blue concoction.
As always, thank you to Bloomsburg Children’s Museum for helping us bring educational programs like this into the community!
Rumor has it that Eric the Elf has chosen a new place to hide out at our library this week!
Remember that once you find Eric, be sure to leave him exactly where you found him so that everyone gets the chance to look for him before he heads home to the North Pole at the end of this week. Simply report back to the front desk the location you found him and you’ll receive a nice little holiday goody bag to take home!
Just a reminder that our recurring STEM program presented by Bloomsburg Children’s Museum will be held at the library tomorrow (12/19) at 6 PM. This month we’ll be looking into magnetic slime chemistry, where we’ll learn how to make the material and will most certainly have fun playing with it afterwards!

We had a packed house this morning at the library for our Preschool Storytime & Movement Christmas party! After two short stories, our regular songs, and a rousing group performance of “Jingle Bells” accompanied by our own little bell choir, it was time to sit back and enjoy all the treats that everyone generously brought from home.
With both Christmas and New Year’s Day falling on a Monday, our regular 10 AM program will return on January 8 next year!
This past Saturday at the library we made reindeer bark to munch on as Christmas excitement continues ramping through this week. Designs included lots of snowmen, reindeer, and even a complete gingerbread house!
