This week at Preschool Storytime & Movement we read “Pete the Cat: Snow Daze” before singing some songs, doing a bit of coloring, and of course having our snack! Preschool Storytime & Movement will be held this coming Monday before breaking for Christmas and New Year’s. We’ll be back again on January 8 with more stories, songs, crafts, and lots of fun!

If you’re visiting the library, be sure to keep and eye out for Eric the Elf. Rumor has it that he’s hiding out somewhere in the children’s section on the second floor!
Remember that once you find Eric the Elf, be sure to leave him exactly where you found him so that everyone gets the chance to look for him. Simply report back to the front desk where you found him and you’ll receive a nice little holiday goody bag to take home!

Don’t forget that there will be an informational event this evening all about the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) volunteer program to be held from 5:30-7:00 PM at the library. All that attend will be entered to win a $50 Visa gift card!

Thank you to Shamokin Head Start for welcoming us and our Preschool Storytime & Movement program back into your classrooms for another fun filled morning of stories, songs, and coloring. We hope to see you all again in the future for another jolly morning like the one we had last week with everyone!

Don’t forget that our monthly STEM program presented by Bloomsburg Children’s Museum will be held at the library next Tuesday (12/19) at 6 PM. This month we’ll be looking into magnetic slime chemistry, where we will learn how to make the material and will certainly have fun playing with it afterwards!
To sign up for this free event targeted towards ages 6-13, you can sign up at the library, give us a call at 570-648-3202, or email us at shamokincoallibrary@gmail.com.

The Healing Chair Yoga session that was scheduled for this afternoon at 4:15 PM has been cancelled. Be sure to keep an eye out for information regarding new Healing Chair Yoga dates starting in 2024!

To all of our Preschool Storytime & Movement folks, please keep an eye out for any announcements concerning tomorrow morning’s program in the event of a school delay! The library typically opens at regular time when there is a 2 hour delay, but the status of our Monday morning program may differ depending on conditions.
