Join us tomorrow evening (11/21) for an extra special Thanksgiving edition of Book Bingo at 6 PM upstairs at the library. Even if you don’t win any rounds, you’ll still be able to pick out a book or movie to take home! 📕🦃📙

Yesterday evening at the library everyone got to build a derby car to race and then make alterations on after each run down the track in order to reach maximum speed! Through this lesson and its accompanying project, we learned a little about aerodynamics and quite a bit about weight distribution.

Don’t forget that Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library now offers expanded weekend hours. Going forward we’ll be open 9AM-4:30PM on Saturdays, hopefully giving more folks a chance to visit/use their local library on weekends! 📕📖📘

Just a reminder that Mahjong for Beginners is held at the library every Wednesday afternoon from 1-3 PM. Free programs like this give area adults the chance to learn something new while also forming fresh connections with others across the community!

This morning at Preschool Storytime & Movement we read “See You Later, Alligator” which was about a tortoise who is setting out on a new adventure, but not before saying goodbye to each of his beloved animal friends in his own special way. After the story we sang our regular songs, got to do a little coloring, and then wrapped up our morning together with a snack like always! 🐢❤️

Just a reminder that tomorrow (11/19) at 6 PM Bloomsburg Children’s Museum will be making their monthly visit to our library. Tomorrow evening’s STEM program is bound to be extra exciting as we’ll be designing and racing derby cars down a 40 foot track just like we did earlier this year!

We had a very imaginative and energetic group of builders this evening at LEGO Club! With the Thanksgiving holiday coming up in 2 weeks, LEGO Club won’t be back around again until December. So be sure to keep an eye out for info about upcoming LEGO Club dates through December and beyond! 🦃🌟☃️
