Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library will be closed this coming Saturday (12/24) and the following Monday (12/26) for the holiday.

Be sure to stop by this week for some books or movies while there is still time!

Join us at Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library tomorrow evening at 6 PM for LEGO Club. As the library supplies an ample amount of LEGOs for everyone to create with, all you need to bring is your imagination!

This morning was our last Preschool Storytime & Movement session for 2022! Today we enjoyed reading the classic “The Night Before Christmas”, ate tons of cookies, and left the library with lots of goodies to take home. We will see everyone again after the holidays on January 9th at 10 AM!

We hope families had a wonderful time earlier today at the library making gingerbread houses together! From intricate gumdrop rooftops to peppermint sidewalks and candy cane archways, each house has its own unique features. A special thanks goes to Jeanne Shaffer and the NCCA for partnering with the library for this special family event.

**REMINDER** Join us this Tuesday (12/20) at 6 PM for another exciting STEM program at the library! In this free class, students will be getting creative and making holiday cards and ornaments. After cards/ornaments are made, we’ll be hooking up simple circuits within each one that will allow the items to glow festively.

With the possibility of hazardous winter weather coming our way at some point tomorrow, please keep an eye on the library’s Facebook page, Instagram, or website to remain informed and up to date concerning any possible late opening or closure situations.

The “All Booked Up” book club meeting scheduled for tomorrow has been pushed to Tuesday, December 20th at 1 PM.

Ernie the Elf has been enjoying his time at our library! Visit the children’s section on the second floor and see if you can spot him this week. Once you find him, let us know at the front desk and you’ll be able to choose a book that’s yours to keep along with a snowflake scratch art kit!
