With Thanksgiving right around the corner, our library is truly thankful for our patrons and the community we serve!

In addition to all the books, DVDs, public computers, printing/copying services, free Wi-Fi, and programs for patrons of all ages, don’t forget that your local library also carries an extensive collection of magazines!

We had a blast this morning at the library celebrating Halloween together! Party guests included dragons, princesses, firefighters, superheroes, and so many more. Thank you to everyone that brought food items for us to share and for helping make it a morning to remember.




































We had a wonderful crowd for Halloween Book Bingo on Thursday that featured some very festive looks! In addition to books, the evening offered an assortment of spooky prizes for our lucky winners.
Join us for Book Bingo next month on Nov. 1st (Tuesday) and Nov. 17th (Thursday) at 6 PM!















Join us at the library for our next adult crafting session to be held Tuesday, November 15th at 5 PM. We will be making snowman salt shakers as well as charming snowman gift wrappers in which gift cards or even candy bars can be placed. Sign up soon as space is limited! A $5 donation is required at sign up for this winter themed crafting event. Registration can be done either at the library or by calling 570-648-3202.

With November right around the corner, be sure to stay up to date with everything going on for people of all ages at your local library!

Come out to the library tomorrow evening at 6 PM for Book Bingo! All ages are welcome at this free event where rounds of bingo are played and the prizes are books. Even if you don’t win any rounds, you’ll still be able to pick out a book of your choice to take home!
Tomorrow evening will feature Halloween themed bingo just in time for the upcoming holiday.

We hope everyone had a thrilling evening last night at the Shamokin Halloween Parade! We handed out goody bags that included glowsticks, candy, and even a calendar of everything going on at the library throughout the coming month.




**REMINDER** Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library will be operating on an altered schedule this coming Tuesday (10/25) from 9:30 AM-5 PM. Candy will be handed out in front of the building throughout the Shamokin Halloween parade that same evening!

We had quite a crowd again at Preschool Storytime & Movement this morning! After reading a Pete the Cat Halloween selection, we decorated an assortment of different characters such as ghosts, pirates, and owls, and later enjoyed our snack.
