Genealogy Workshop This Month

Are you curious about your ancestral roots but aren’t quite sure how to get started? If so, join us at Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library on September 20th at 6 PM for a Genealogy Workshop.

The library will be hosting Louise Latshaw and John Lindermuth of the Northumberland County Historical Society for this event. This team will be providing those attending with tips/best practices for discovering and documenting your family’s past.

To sign up for this free event please visit us at the library or call 570-648-3202.

Adult Crafting Class

Yesterday evening an adult crafting class was held at the library and produced some magnificent results! All those that attended were able to take home a personalized piece of fall décor just in time for the fast approaching fall season.

A special thanks goes to Jeanne Shaffer and Joyce Sickora of the Northumberland County Council for the Arts & Humanities for partnering with the library for this event!

Upcoming Fall Children’s Craft

Join us at the library for a fall children’s craft next Saturday (9/10) at 10 AM! While this is a free event, we do ask that children are signed up ahead of time. Registration can be done either at the library or by calling 570-648-3202.

These assorted woodland friends are just a few examples of the crafts that will be available to make!

STEM Programming at the Library

We would like to thank the Bloomsburg Children’s Museum for visiting our library yesterday evening and helping us introduce students to the world of 3D printing!

Be sure to keep an eye out for postings regarding the next STEM program in this series that will be held at the library towards the end of September.
