Don’t forget, prices for copies made at the library will be seeing a very small increase beginning July 1. This is the only change with all other prices remaining the same!

There was lots of hootin’ and hollerin’ yesterday evening at Book Bingo: Rodeo Edition! Since this was our last bingo until we’re back in the saddle again after the summer, we knew it had to be extra special and truly a night to remember for everyone.

This rodeo themed evening of bingo festivities included a traditional hat for all cowboys and cowgirls in attendance, light refreshments, and a stable full of mystery prizes straight from home on the range including Jolly Ranchers and Cow Tails!

We’ve been doing some rearranging and house cleaning at the library, resulting in more books than usual being up for sale. Stop by anytime during our regular hours, feel free to browse through the books available for purchase, and fill up a whole bag for just $1.00!

Earlier this week at the library, Bloomsburg Children’s Museum visited us for our monthly STEM adventure! This time around, critical thinking skills along with how to crack codes by working with a cipher were the main focus areas.

After learning the basics of how this process works, everyone paired up and worked as a team to identify/solve a code in order to open “Top Secret” mystery boxes which had a small prize inside to take home. As always, thank you to Bloomsburg Children’s Museum for helping us make opportunities like this possible!

Just a reminder that Book Bingo will be held this evening (6/20) at 6 PM upstairs at the library. Even if you don’t win any rounds, you’ll still be able to pick out a book or movie to take home!

This morning at Preschool Storytime & Movement we read a nonfiction book to learn more about bumblebees, sang our regular songs, did some coloring, made bumblebee ornaments, and then closed with a snack in celebration of multiple special birthdays!

Thank you to the North Central PA Group Sierra Club for donating “The Camping Trip” to our library in commemoration of Juneteenth. This children’s title highlights the beauty of nature and how beneficial spending time outdoors can be for our lives and well being!

Just a reminder that a new program for adults is starting up at the library! The very first Pinochle Club gathering will be held tomorrow (6/17) from 1-3 PM on the second floor. Whether you’ve been playing for years or are interested in learning, feel free to join us tomorrow afternoon!
