A new program for adults will soon be starting up at the library! The very first Pinochle Club gathering will be held from 1-3 PM this coming Monday (6/17) on the second floor. Whether you’ve been playing for years or are interested in learning, feel free to join us Monday afternoon!
Check out all of these beautiful fairy garden projects completed this morning at Claude Kehler Park! With a wide variety of nifty fairy houses and an assortment of other magical items to choose from, everyone was able to fashion their fairy garden into a unique creation all its own.

This morning at Preschool Storytime & Movement we read “Is That Wise, Pig?” which again focused on numbers throughout the story just like last week. Following song time and a bit of crafting, we wrapped up the morning with a tasty snack!
Don’t forget that the Mind Readers Book Club meeting is tonight at 7 PM at the library. We’ll be sharing thoughts on this month’s selection “Remarkably Bright Creatures” by Shelby Van Pelt!
So, what all can you do with a dandelion? Turns out, quite a bit! Thursday evening Shamokin’s Environmental Resiliency Plan group held their last “resiliency workshop” at the library. Led by Michele Stansberry of Shamokin’s Foraging Friends, all who attended got to learn more about the wild plants native to our area and how they can be used.
To cap off the program and truly get a taste of the possibilities, Michele whipped up some delicious dandelion pizza and dandelion coffee for everyone!
The Fairy Garden kid’s craft scheduled for this coming Wednesday (6/12) at Claude Kehler Community Park is all filled up. If you’re still interested, there is a waitlist of names being collected in the event that anyone who did make the sign up list ends up cancelling.
We had a blast with Ryan Bridge “The BugMan” yesterday afternoon at the library! Ryan brings with him a large collection of preserved insects and arachnids as well as several live specimens that everyone got the chance to hold. A big thank you to “The BugMan” for entertaining and educating everyone with your passion for all things bugs! 
We hope everyone had a great time at Book Bingo this evening! All are welcome to join us later this month on Thursday, June 20 at 6 PM for bingo, books, and a delightful evening that family and friends can all come and enjoy together.
Similar to last summer, Book Bingo will not be held in July or August so next time is your last chance until the fall!

After not getting to see Mrs. Sickora over the last couple of weeks, we were so happy to have her back in action this morning with all of us at the library!
