Fairy Garden Kid’s Craft Coming Up

Just like in previous years, the library will be partnering with the Northumberland County Council For The Arts and Humanities for a “Fairy Garden” kid’s craft! This event will be held offsite at Claude Kehler Community Park in Shamokin on Wednesday, June 12 at 10 AM within the main pavilion area.

This is of course a free event but children absolutely MUST be signed up ahead of time, no exceptions. This magical morning for children ages 3-10 only has room for 25 so be sure to reserve your spot while there’s still time! To sign up you can either stop by the library, give us a call, or send an email to the address provided.

Ryan “The Bug Man” Coming to Town!

Only one week from today, Ryan Bridge “The Bug Man” will be visiting Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library to share his expert knowledge and tell us all about his diverse collection of insect specimens both living and preserved. Anthracite Heritage Festival 2024

Thank you to everyone that checked in at the library’s booth yesterday at the Anthracite Heritage Festival. Whether you stopped by for raffle chances or to craft an adorable puppet, it’s always a wonderful way to connect with folks and share everything that’s going on for all ages at the library this summer and beyond!

Additionally, thank you to the lovely ladies from the Music and Mindfulness Initiative for helping us bring the magic of puppetry to the children of the Shamokin & Coal Township area and of course Jeanne Shaffer and the Northumberland County Council For The Arts and Humanities for including our organization in what is always a wonderful event!
