LEGO Club at the Library

We had a lively group last night at the library of familiar friends along with some new faces we’ll hopefully see again at LEGO Club. Catch us again for another Thursday evening of creativity and fun later this month (1/25) anytime from 5-7 PM upstairs at the library!

STEM Program Coming Up (1/16/24)

Mark your calendars for this coming Tuesday (1/16) at 6 PM for our monthly STEM program visit from Bloomsburg Children’s Museum. This month we’ll be learning about the phases of the moon, crater formation, and then will be making some glow in the dark puffy paint to wrap up the lesson!

To sign up for this free and educational event that’s designed with ages 6-13 in mind, you can visit us at the library or contact us at 570-648-3202 or shamokincoallibrary@gmail.com. Since making the puffy paint could possibly get a little messy, we recommend wearing old clothing just in case!

First Adult Craft of New Year

Yesterday evening at the library we held our first adult craft of the new year! The project we worked on last night was a heart themed wall hanging that’s sure to fit cozily alongside any other items of Valentine’s Day décor you may already have on tap for next month.

As always, a big thank you goes to our partners at the Northumberland County Council for the Arts for helping us bring programs like this to life for the community!

Preschool Storytime & Movement

Yesterday morning at Preschool Storytime & Movement we read (and later sang) “Frosty the Snowman” to commemorate our recent first sizeable snowfall of the season. After singing our songs and helping our own snowmen come to life during a craft, it was time to finally sit back, relax, and have some snack!
