Taking the Show on the Road

We would like to thank everyone at Tiny Tech Preschool for hosting an extra special story time with us today! We read “Dog Gone” which is a book all about making new friends. After our story we sang and danced, crafted dog puppets to take home, and of course wrapped up with a yummy snack. Once again, thank you to the folks at Tiny Tech for inviting us and we hope to see you all again next year!

Solar Bugs Come to Town

There was an infestation of solar bugs last night at the library! Whether you chose to make a ladybug or beetle, once you feed your little creature some sun they will be crawling around before you know it.

A special thank you goes to Bloomsburg Children’s Museum for helping us bring educational opportunities like this into the community. Keep an eye out for announcements regarding the next STEM program scheduled for June 20 at 6 PM!

Lewisburg Children’s Museum Cultural Pass Program

Check out this fabulous opportunity the library is offering our patrons! The Museum Cultural Pass program is part of the Lewisburg Children’s Museum’s “Count Me In” initiative. All adult patrons in good standing may check out the pass to receive free admission to the museum.

The Cultural Pass provides free admission for up to 4 patrons at a time with general admission applying to those 2 years and older. Passes are valid for general admission only and do not cover special events/programs, classes, or workshops hosted at the museum. The pass can be checked out for 1 week and then is to be promptly returned to Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library just like you’d check out and return a library book. Please be sure to return the pass in a timely manner so that as many families as possible can take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to explore, learn, and grow!

Crafting at the Library

We hope everyone had a lovely evening designing patriotic décor at the library earlier this week. This event was held in partnership with the NCCA and produced an assortment of different stylings that allowed room for plenty of creativity throughout the process. As always, keep an eye on our Facebook page, Instagram, or website to stay up to date with everything going on at your local library!

Monday Morning at the Library

This morning’s story was “Kitten’s First Full Moon” so naturally we colored lots of little kittens after song time. A special thank you once again goes to Rachel Farrow for generously donating a jumbo sized box of scented markers to our library. We will certainly get lots of use out of them!
