We’d like to thank everyone that came out to our Family Fairy Garden Fun event at Claude Kehler Community Park yesterday. As our first event partnering with the Northumberland County Council for the Arts & Humanities, the community’s enthusiasm for the program was incredibly encouraging for both organizations. The library would like to thank the Northumberland County Council for the Arts & Humanities for partnering with us along with providing materials and dedicated volunteers. Additionally, we extend our sincerest thanks to Whitenight’s Farm and Greenhouse of Danville, PA for donating all the plants that were used for the fairy gardens. We’re hoping to make this an annual event so keep an eye out next summer!

We hope everyone who came out this morning for our Summer Reading 2021 kickoff enjoyed the program and will be back next week at 10 AM on Wednesday, July 14th for Week 2! Remember to fill out your reading logs in order to have the chance to pick from the prize box next week. Special thanks to Eddy Ray for bringing his magic show to the library and to Christine Shemory for her delicious and wonderfully decorated cupcakes!
