Celebrating Earth Day at the Library

This morning we celebrated Earth Day together at the library! Everyone got to paint a planet Earth ornament and craft a blue and green windsock to take home. A very special thank you goes to the Northumberland County Council for the Arts for partnering with the library for events like this, especially members Jeanne Shaffer and Joyce Sickora. Check out everyone’s Earth Day crafts down below!

Thank You Shamokin Area Elementary School

We would like to thank Shamokin Area Elementary School for inviting the library to take part in their spring book fair yesterday evening. This was a wonderful opportunity to spread the word about everything that’s going on and coming up at Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library. We’re also happy to share that over 30 children signed up for library cards, including the pair pictured below!

STEM Program Tomorrow Evening (4/18/23)

**REMINDER** Join us at the library Tuesday, April 18 at 6 PM for our monthly STEM program! This month’s program is all about fossils, what they are, how they form, how to identify them, and ultimately what they can teach us about the natural world and its rich history.
To sign up for this free event, you can visit us at the library or give us a call at 570-648-3202.

Preschool Storytime & Movement

We had lots of little ducklings at Preschool Storytime & Movement this morning! We read our story, sang our songs, crafted some paper plate ducklings of our own, and of course wrapped up our time together with a snack.

Preschool Storytime & Movement is one of our many recurring programs for children and is held every Monday at 10 AM!

Heart & Soul Chair Yoga

Heart & Soul Chair Yoga with instructor KymBre Shingara continues this coming Monday! Sessions will be held at the library from 8:15-9:00 AM with doors opening at 8 AM. Pricing options are still $7 per class or $15 for all 3 classes. Sign up either at the library or by giving us a call at 570-648-3202.
