Learning to crochet at the library! Crocheting Club meets every Wednesday at 1 PM.

What a splendid turnout tonight at Book Bingo! This evening included some special Valentine’s Day themed mystery prizes for our lucky winners along with the regular selection of books and movies to choose from. Catch us again for Book Bingo on Thursday, February 16th at 6 PM!

The library is looking quite festive all decked out in Valentine’s Day themed decorations! Whether you’re a frequent visitor or a first time customer, stop by and see everything your local library has to offer!

For those that were unable to join us on Saturday, this morning at Preschool Storytime & Movement we made our personalized picture frames to hang on the fridge this Valentine’s Day season. Join us again next week for more stories, songs, crafts, and snacks at the library!

We had a very pleasant morning at the library making personalized Valentine’s Day picture frames! Each child had their picture taken, photos were developed onsite, and then placed into a frame to be decorated. Special thanks goes to Jeanne Shaffer and the NCCA for partnering with the library for this event.

We hope “Take Your Child to the Library Day” 2023 was thoroughly enjoyed by all those who visited us this morning and hopefully we see you again soon!

To kick off the month of February, come down to the library and pick out your “Blind Date with a Book” selection from our new display area! Each book has a hint concerning what it’s about written on the outside so it’s up to you to decide which one to take.
Once you’ve read the book, be sure to fill out the “Rate Your Date” bookmark inside and return it for a chance to win a special Valentine’s Day prize!

With Valentine’s Day coming up in a couple weeks, we decided to make special cards this morning at Preschool Storytime & Movement. Catch us again next week at 10 AM for stories, songs, crafts, and snacks!

Our LEGO builders were busy yesterday evening! Catch us again next month for LEGO Club on February 9th and 23rd at 6 PM.

As a continuation of the library’s strong ongoing partnership with the NCCA, a Valentine’s Day children’s craft will be held next Saturday (2/4) at 10 AM on the second floor of the library. We will be making button decorated picture frames that are sure to make a lovely gift for someone special this holiday!
