Join us at Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library tomorrow evening (10/6) at 6 PM for LEGO Club. As the library supplies an ample amount of LEGOs for everyone to create with, all you need to bring is your imagination!

We had a very illuminating evening yesterday at the library making anglerfish with light up eyes and antennas! Students were first able to tap into their artistic abilities to color a fish and then were shown how a simple circuit can be constructed using a small battery. We send our thanks to Bloomsburg Children’s Museum for helping us provide educational STEM programs like this for our community!

We had quite a ball at Preschool Storytime & Movement this morning reading “The Littlest Pumpkin”, singing our songs, and later making our very own paper jack-o-lanterns to take home! Preschool Storytime & Movement is held at the library every Monday at 10 AM.

**REMINDER** Next week the library will be hosting Bloomsburg Children’s Museum again on Tuesday, October 4th at 6 PM.
In this free class, students (ages 6-13) will learn about simple circuits and will make an anglerfish portrait that actually lights up! This illuminating and educational project can then be taken home. Sign up soon either at the library or by calling 570-648-3202.

Join us at the library just 1 week from today (October 8th) at 10 AM for a Halloween themed children’s craft and the chance to decorate and personalize your very own candy bucket that can be used for trick-or-treating!
All materials will be provided at this free event though we do ask that children are signed up ahead of time. Registration can be done either at the library’s front desk or by calling 570-648-3202.

Stay up to date with everything happening at your local library in October!
Physical calendars are readily available at the front desk.

Come to the library and check out some scary good reads this October!

We hope that everyone who attended the Water Bath and Atmospheric Steam Canning class yesterday evening was able to pick up some new tips that can be used at home for years to come. The library would like to thank instructor Samantha Zlotorzynski from the Penn State Extension team and Sandy and Willie from Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church for allowing us to use their facility for this canning class.
