This time around, we’ll be making sizeable Christmas ball ornaments that’ll be right at home with the rest of your seasonal décor. Starting tomorrow, Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library will be offering extended Saturday hours. Going forward the library will now be open on Saturdays from 9AM-4:30PM, giving more folks a chance to utilize their local library on weekends!

Interested in doing some custom cardmaking especially with the holidays coming up? If so, this adult craft to be held at the library on Friday, November 8 at 1 PM might be right up your alley!

For a small donation of $5, this 2 hour workshop will offer the basics of paper crafting and give you the tools to craft creative cards for any occasion! To snag one of the 10 available slots, either stop by the library or give us a call at 570-648-3202.

Starting this coming Friday (11/1) another weekly card game opportunity is coming to the library. Whether you’re familiar with the game or just starting out, all are welcome to join this new group on Fridays at 1 PM upstairs at the library!

This morning at Preschool Storytime & Movement we read “There’s a Monster in Your Book” followed by our regular songs. After that, it was time to party and enjoy treats from the Halloween buffet! 👻🎊🎃

Just a reminder that Cookbook Book Club will be meeting at the library tomorrow (10/28) at 6 PM! The theme for this month is ethnic food and everyone is encouraged to bring a prepared dish to share that connects back to their own heritage. In-person sign-ups for the Shamokin Rotary 12th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk are taking place this morning at the library! This event is set to take place on Thursday, November 28 (Thanksgiving) at Shamokin Area High School’s Kemp Memorial Stadium with registration beginning at 8 AM that morning and then the race starting at 9 AM.
