We hope everyone enjoyed the “Christmas Ball” adult craft that was held this evening at the library. As always, thank you to our partners at the Northumberland County Council For the Arts & Humanities for helping us provide creative programming opportunities like this for the community!

Just a reminder that Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library is now offering extended Saturday hours. Going forward the library will be open on Saturdays from 9AM-4:30PM, giving more folks more of a chance to visit/use their local library on weekends!

Join us next Tuesday (11/19) at 6 PM for the next STEM program brought to us by Bloomsburg Children’s Museum. This month’s program is bound to be extra exciting as we’ll be designing and racing derby cars down a 40 foot track just like we did earlier this year!
To sign up for this free event that’s designed with ages 6-13 in mind, you can visit us at the library or give us a call at 570-648-3202.

Just a reminder that Mahjong for Beginners is held at the library every Wednesday from 1-3 PM. Free programs like this are great opportunities for adults to learn something different while forging new friendships across the community!

This morning at Preschool Storytime & Movement we read “I Am Thankful” followed by our regular songs including a recently added tune that’s all about the falling leaves. Later on we did some coloring and expressed what each of us are thankful for before wrapping up our morning together with a snack like always!

On Halloween we visited several Shamokin Head Start classrooms to share a “spooky” Pete the Cat storybook along with some of our favorite interactive songs with all the little ones. Receiving a ‘thank you’ in this form is always a very special treat! 🥰🎃❤️🦃

We had quite the crowd for Book Bingo Tuesday evening! All are welcome to join us later this month on Thursday, November 21 at 6 PM for bingo, books, and a delightful evening that family and friends can all come and enjoy together at the library.

Just a reminder that tomorrow (11/8) another weekly card game opportunity is now available. Whether you’re familiar with the game of Hearts or just getting acquainted, all are welcome to join this new group on Fridays at 1 PM at the library!
