Summer Reading 2021 “Tails and Tales” Schedule and Information

Starting July 7th and running every Wednesday through August 11th, Summer Reading will be held at the library for children entering grades K-6. Come and join us every Wednesday morning at 10 AM for a variety of different program events including magic shows, puppetry, live animals, and more! All events are free of charge and we just ask that children are signed up either in person at the library’s front desk or over the phone.

Storytime & Movement Resumes Monday!

Preschool Storytime & Movement will resume this Monday at 10 AM. This week our featured title will be All Are Welcome and will be followed by several songs, a craft, and a snack. Mrs. Sickora and Librarian Ben both look forward to seeing everyone’s smiling face on Monday morning! Pictured below are just a few examples of the fun we’ve all had together so far!

Face Mask Policy Update

Although Pennsylvania’s mask mandate is officially in place until June 28th, face masks are no longer mandatory when entering the building for fully vaccinated individuals. This policy will function on an honor system and thus patrons will not be required to present their vaccination cards to library staff. Whether you wish to continue wearing your mask for the time being or decide to go without it depending on vaccination status, we just ask that you respect the choices of others!

Observance of Memorial Day

Just a reminder to all patrons out there that the library will be closed Monday, May 31 in observance of Memorial Day. For those who attend Preschool Storytime & Movement regularly or are interested in attending in the future, keep an eye out for an announcement regarding the next date that the program will be held!

Things Are Happening at Your Public Library!

As things begin to ease up all across the board, be sure to stay up to date on what’s happening at the library! Preschool Storytime & Movement has returned and is held on Mondays at 10 AM. Also, look out for more adult programming events as we enter the summer season. This past week we held our first adult program, the Floral Hat Workshop and some pictures of the day’s lovely creations are included below. Finally, be on the lookout for information concerning this year’s Summer Reading Program “Tails and Tales” which will offer 6 weeks of events that will focus on animals along with a smattering of other topics as well! Stay well, stay safe, and be sure to stop by!
