Be sure to stop by the library to stock up on books, movies, and more for over the holiday and into the weekend! As a reminder, the library will be closed this Thursday for the Fourth of July.

This morning at Preschool Storytime & Movement we first read a story about a trip Pete the Cat took to the beach, followed by “Corduroy’s Fourth of July” since the holiday is coming up later this week! Song time was extra special this morning as it included a festive song about fireworks that we all marched along to. Like always, we closed out the morning with a tasty snack after crafting our own fireworks to take home!

Just a reminder that there’s a new weekly program for adults now being held Mondays at the library! Pinochle Club will be held tomorrow (7/1) from 1-3 PM. Whether you’ve been playing for years or are interested in learning, feel free to join us tomorrow afternoon!

For everyone that uses the library’s copying/printing services, don’t forget that the price for black & white copies will be seeing a small increase starting tomorrow, July 1. This is the only change with all other prices remaining the same!

Looking ahead to next week, Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library will be closed Thursday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. Regular hours will resume Friday, but be sure to stop in and stock up on books for the holiday or if you’re going away!

Keep up to date with everything happening at your local library this July and beyond! Event calendars are readily available every month at the front desk along with handouts that include additional information about upcoming programs for children, adults, or the whole family.

We had a very large and energetic group of builders this evening at LEGO Club. Catch us again next month for another Thursday evening of creativity and fun at the library!

Stop by anytime during our regular hours, feel free to browse through the books available for purchase, and fill up a whole bag of for just $1.00!

Yesterday evening during Family STEM Night at the library we had lots of opportunities to build and create together. Look out for some new and exciting STEM items the next time this program is held!
