This Week at the Library

Join us for the launch of the new “Family Game Night!” Drop in anytime from 5-7pm for various board and card games…join in on one of ours or bring your own to share and teach others! Held the last Tuesday of every month.

Want to try something new this year? We have a new program starting at the LIbrary on Monday, February 3. We are hosting classes where we will be learning and doing the ancient Chinese practice of Qigong. Here’s some information from the Cleveland Clinic on the benefits of participating in Qigong: “It could reduce the symptoms of depression, it has a positive effects on bone and cardiovascular health and improves balance, it can aid in improving your immune system. In a study, people with chronic fatigue experienced better mental functioning and less fatigue after participating for 4 months. Qigong is not yoga, rather it uses slow, purposeful movements that are less challenging.” Join us in this new venture!

These ladies had fun creating a framed heart craft at our bi-monthly Adult Craft Class held in cooperation with Northumberland County Council For The Arts and Humanities. The next Adult Craft will be in March. Stay tuned for details!

Stay safe!

We had ‘snow’ much fun at the Storytime on Monday! We learned all the things we would need to make a snowman from the book, “All You Need for a Snowman,” by Alice Schertle.
