Today was someone’s very first time visiting the library!

This morning at Preschool Storytime & Movement we read “Everything Is Mama” and then pieced together some paper flower bouquets!
Preschool Storytime & Movement is held every Monday morning at 10 AM upstairs at the library.

Join us tomorrow morning at the library for Preschool Storytime & Movement starting at 10 AM. This free weekly program for little ones always includes a story, songs, crafts, and of course a snack.
This week we’ll be getting a head start on Mother’s Day which is coming up next month!

We hope everyone had a great time at Book Bingo yesterday evening! All are welcome to join us next month on Tuesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 16 at 6 PM for bingo, books, and a pleasant evening that family and friends can enjoy together.

Some of our Mahjong regulars playing yesterday afternoon! Mahjong for Beginners is held every Wednesday at the library from 1-3 PM and is a great opportunity for adults to learn something different while also forming new local connections.
To sign up for this free program, you can give us a call at 570-648-3202 or send an email to shamokincoallibrary@gmail.com.

Just a reminder that Book Bingo will be held tomorrow evening (4/18) at 6 PM upstairs at the library. Even if you don’t win any rounds, you’ll still be able to pick out a book of your choice to take home!

Earlier this evening at the library everyone had the chance to build vibrating motor powered cars, complete with feathers in some cases! Through the lesson and the project, we got to learn about simple circuits and how vibrating propulsion systems work.
As always, thank you to Bloomsburg Children’s Museum for helping us bring educational programs like this into the community!

Thank you Shamokin Area Elementary School for inviting us to your book fair yesterday evening to get the word out about everything going on at the library both now and into the summer months ahead.
Congratulations on signing up for a library card Mrs. Bias!
