Upcoming Jellyfish Children’s Craft
Join us one week from today (7/15) at 10 AM for our next children’s craft! This month we will be making jellyfish mobiles that will fit right in with beach season. “All Together Now” at Summer Reading 2023!
Summer Reading Week 1 was a blast! To kick things off this year, we welcomed back KymBre Shingara to lead us in kids yoga, got our reading logs and goody bags, and wrapped things up with a tasty cupcake treat.
Between now and next Wednesday morning’s ZooAmerica program, be sure to complete your reading log by reading 20 minutes a day for at least 5 days in order to receive either a free book or an item from the prize box. If you’re not quite reading on your own yet, reading with a parent or being read to also counts!
Each week you complete the log and bring it back to us, you’ll have the chance to enter your name into our grand prize drawing that will take place during our final Summer Reading session in August. We hope to see everyone next week (7/12) for ZooAmerica!
We’re all ready for the holiday here at the library! With our book this morning being “Red, White, and Boom!” and our crafted patriotic hats it looks like we’re all set to go for Independence Day.
Don’t forget that we’ll be CLOSED tomorrow (7/4) for the holiday and then the Summer Reading “All Together Now” program series kicks off Wednesday (7/5) with registration beginning at 9:30 AM followed by this week’s featured presenter at 10!

Summer Reading 2023 Starting Soon
Summer Reading 2023 kicks off this coming Wednesday (July 5) at Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library! Registration/check-in starts at 9:30 AM and the program itself begins at 10 AM. We hope to see you there!

The library is currently experiencing an outage of our phone line/system that results in callers receiving a busy signal when attempting to contact us. Preschool Storytime & Movement Mondays
This morning at story time we read “Barnyard Banter” and encountered a whole host of animal friends including cows, pigs, donkeys, roosters, and even a goose! Following the story and song time, we got to make barnyards of our own and filled them up with the animals featured in the story.
Don’t forget that Preschool Storytime & Movement is held at the library every Monday at 10 AM, including straight on through the summer months!
