Join us later this month at the library for the Springtime Kid’s Craft! This month we will be making Easter wreaths all decked out in bunnies and eggs. This free event brought to you by the library in partnership with the NCCA will be held Saturday, March 25 at 10 AM on the second floor of the library. While this is a free event, we do ask that children are signed up ahead of time either at the library or by calling 570-648-3202.
The library will be participating in this year’s annual “Raise the Region” online giving campaign! This gives members of our community the opportunity to support local nonprofits by helping them raise as much money as possible during a small window of time. Donations from this strategic and unified effort will support our local nonprofits in addressing the diverse needs of our region.
Raise the Region 2023 will officially begin at 6:00 PM on March 8, 2023 and end at 11:59 PM on March 9, 2023. For a donation to be counted, it must be made through http://www.raisetheregion.org during the 30 hour giving period. There is a $25 minimum amount but no maximum amount for donations. Your contribution greatly helps local organizations like the library in creating a more vibrant and engaged community!
If you filled out a “Rate Your Date” bookmark inside of a “Blind Date with a Book” selection, be sure to have it returned to the library by this Thursday (3/9) before 5 PM as we will be drawing our winner at that time. The lucky patron selected will receive a gift card to a local restaurant of their choice!
Come out to the library this evening for Book Bingo starting at 6 PM! All ages are welcome at this free event where rounds of bingo are played and the prizes are books. Even if you don’t win any rounds, you’ll still be able to pick out a book of your choice to take home.

Besides getting to play on specially made Dr. Suess themed bingo cards, everyone also got a big red bow tie to wear just like Cat in the Hat. We’re glad so many young readers decided to spend National Read Across America Day with all of us at the library!
