Upcoming STEM Program (12/20/22)

Join us next Tuesday for another exciting STEM program at the library! In this free class, students will be getting creative and making holiday cards and ornaments. After cards/ornaments are made, we’ll be hooking up simple circuits within each one that will allow the items to glow festively.

Sign up soon either at the library or by calling 570-648-3202 to claim your spot!

Can You Find Ernie the Elf?

Ernie the Elf has been enjoying his time at our library! Visit the children’s section on the second floor and see if you can spot him this week. Once you find him, let us know at the front desk and you’ll be able to choose a book that’s yours to keep along with a snowflake scratch art kit!

Couponing Class Tomorrow (12/13/22)

**REMINDER** Do you enjoy couponing or have an interest in learning about this great way to save? If so, join us at the library tomorrow on Tuesday, December 13th at 5 PM for a free class all about couponing brought to us by Penn State Extension.

To sign up for this class, please either call 570-648-3202 or visit us at the library!

Joyous News

One of our employees at the library, Nika, recently gave birth to a precious baby girl named Beatrice. We are all so delighted that the mother and the baby are both doing well and even stopped by the library to see us. Our congratulations to Nika and her husband Ethan!

Elf on the Shelf

Ernie the Elf has arrived at Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library for the season! All the little ones are welcome to look for Ernie on the second floor. But do be warned, Ernie is a very shy elf and is often hiding amongst the shelves. Visit the library, find Ernie the Elf, and receive a free book to take home for over the holidays.

Once you find Ernie’s hiding spot, remember to leave him there for other children to find!

Snowman Craft

We hope everyone had a festive time yesterday evening at the library creating custom snowman pieces! A special thank you goes to Jeanne Shaffer and the Northumberland County Council for the Arts for partnering with the library for this event.
