This morning at Preschool Storytime & Movement we read “I Like Pumpkins” since it’s prime pumpkin season at the moment! Following the story and song time, everyone got to choose between decorating a paper pumpkin or piecing together a spooky looking cat. We later wrapped up our morning with snack time which featured cupcakes generously brought from home to help celebrate a little lady’s birthday! 🎃🥳🎃
Thank you to local artist/author Bob McCormick for visiting our library Saturday morning to discuss his most recently published work “Reclamation: From Coal Dust to Hope” which lovingly depicts a wide variety of locations all over the Coal Region as they would’ve appeared in a time now long gone by.
McCormick’s exceptional talent as an artist shines throughout the book and the natural storytelling abilities showcased in the text that comes paired with each painting results in a very engaging overall piece of work! ⚒🎨🚂
Additionally, thank you to our partners at the Northumberland County Council For the Arts and Humanities for helping make this event possible!
We received this marvelous piece of mail this morning at the library. We were all very happy to hear that young Mr. Zarkowski found just the right costume for Halloween this year at last month’s giveaway!
A huge thank you once again goes out to event organizers Lauren Zimmerman, Maria James, Lindsay Thomas, and Heather Krebs for putting together this initiative and for volunteering their time and effort to ensure kids all across the community feel the same way! 👻🎃😈🤖
