Familiar faces and new friends together at LEGO Club! Catch us again or for the very first time April 13 from 5-7 PM.

Join us at the library this evening anytime from 5-7 PM for LEGO Club. As the library supplies an ample amount of LEGOs for everyone to create with, all you need to bring with you is your imagination!

Yesterday evening at the library was spent making mobile robots during our monthly STEM program. Everyone got to design a robot, learn how to properly connect and align the electrical components, and then the robots were off to the races!
As always, we extend our thanks to Bloomsburg Children’s Museum for helping us bring educational programs like this into the community!

We hope that everyone who joined us at the library yesterday for Heart & Soul Chair Yoga had a calming and centering session! While that wraps up our first series of chair yoga classes, future sessions with instructor KymBre Shingara are scheduled for April 3, 17, & 24 from 8:15-9:00 AM with doors opening at 8 AM. Pricing options will remain $7 per class or $15 for all 3 classes. Sign up either at the library or by giving us a call at 570-648-3202.

March into spring with something green to read!

Stepping into spring together at Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library!

Tomorrow morning at the library the third session of Heart & Soul Chair Yoga will be held at 8:15 AM with doors opening at 8:00 AM. Remember, it’s okay if you weren’t able to attend the first session but would still like to explore this beneficial physical and mental activity. Adults of all abilities are welcome to join us!

Congratulations to Mollee Lahr, our latest “Birthday Book Club” honoree! Mollee celebrated her birthday this month and a book was placed in her honor by grandparents Rose & David Deitrick.
If you’d like to honor a child or grandchild in your life while also supporting your local library, please pick up a “Birthday Book Club” order form at the library!

This evening’s adult craft produced many lovely nests! As always, the library would like to thank Northumberland County Council for the Arts for partnering with us for events like these. Keep an eye out for information concerning the next adult crafting event that will be held in May!

Congratulations to Brenda Doone, the lucky winner of the “Blind Date with a Book” book review drawing! Brenda reviewed Peter Swanson’s “Nine Lives” and will be receiving a gift card to Luna’s Pizzeria from the library.
